Dooms Day Surf : December 21, 2012 woke up and saw the Surf as Gabriel was checking surf line, I ran up to get dressed cause I knew it would be cold and the wind might just change the condition for the worse. So glad I went along the ocean and sky were beautiful in the morning and I wouldn't stop taking photos of waves. Gifts for sure and these guys that go out in these conditions are hard core if you ask me. Coming in with faces numb unable to speak but happy to have gone out and hoping for more waves tomorrow! The sky was so dramatic and the ocean was showing it's force.

Jade and her Tower : Jade is a friend of my sister's and lives on the coast of Mendocino. She owns and rents a wonderful Tower that is quite splendid. The building shape is similar to the water towers in the area keeping things unified but in a unique way. Jade has such a special way about her singing and laughing at a moments notice. She will stop in her tracks to notice the sweet birds that fly about and you can tell she enjoys every part of her little town. Winnie and Jade share time together as two kindred souls should each understanding the other. What a gift to us all they both are.

Katia Surf : Hurricane Katia was off the coast of Virginia Beach and brought with it a little surf. I always hate to see the summer end but look forward to the waves the fall brings with it. We are so blessed with such a piece of nature right at our back door and I am always inspired by the young people that are waking up so early to catch a wave before heading off to school or work. The spirit lives on. I miss working with my nephew Colby since he has moved to Hawaii but I know he is enjoying his time on the Island. Thought of him on this last early am surf session.
